Error Responses

The API will response with typical HTTP response codes, meaning you can expect the following codes:

  • 200 range - Your request was successfully handled

  • 400 range - Your request failed for some reason (this could be for a number of reasons including a request parameter wasn’t included, an object couldn’t be found, etc.)

  • 500 range - An error with on the server. These are rare, but if they do occur will require raising a support request with our technical team. Please email “support@democrance.com” providing details of the request you were making, the date and time of the request and any other information you think might be helpful for us to replicate and investigate the issue

Error Handling

401 Errors

Customer not authenticated

This error message means that you have attempted to access an API endpoint without having successfully authenticated a customer account against the server.

404 Errors

Policy not found

This error message means you have attempted to access a policy which could not be found. This could be that the policy ID you provided is incorrect, or that the policy does not belong to the customer currently authenticated against the server.

Claim not found

This error message means that you have attempted to access a claim which could not be found. This could be that the claim ID you provided is incorrect, or that the claim does not belong to the customer currently authenticated against the server.

Product not found

This error message means that you have attempted to access a product that could not be found. This means the product slug you provided is incorrect.

Subproduct not found

This error message means that you have attempted to access a subproduct that could not be found. This means the subproduct slug you provided is incorrect.
